Toddler (1½ to 2½ years old)

The children enter the Toddler programme at 18 months old and stay until they are around 2½ years old.

At this age, most children are ready to explore and the objective of this programme is to provide the child with a learning experience away from home without parents, to foster social skills and develop a positive attitude towards learning.

The Toddler programme introduces the child to early-Montessori where he or she begins to develop independence through self-help skills. He learns to respect the environment, experience music and the expression of art, and develops a love for nature.

Much effort is made to increase the child’s communication skills and vocabulary in a fun and encouraging way. Outdoor playtime is an important part of the curriculum as Dr Maria Montessori says “Play is the work of the child”.

The Toddler programme not only improves the child’s knowledge, social skills, independence and confidence but sets the stage for the rest of their lives. It also serves as a foundation for our Nursery programme.

Programme hours : 9.00am to 12.00pm
Extended hours : 12.00pm to 3.00pm
